Friday the 13th Part 3 (3D) (1982)

Directed by Steve Miner.  Written by Martin Kitrosser and Carol Watson.  Starring Richard Brooker as Jason.

Plot: Jason’s back at it, really trying to cement the fact that teenagers will die if they come near Crystal Lake

Part 3 is probably funnier than it’s supposed to be.  A group of teenagers go to a cabin on Crystal Lake, but they are some of the most annoying teenagers in the whole Friday franchise.  So many of them are simply caricatures and stereotypes.  There’s not really a whole person in the bunch.  And the main girl who we suppose we’re supposed to be rooting for is so whiny that we really just ended up rooting for Jason instead.

And Jason is pretty cool in this one.  Our favorite part is when he harpoons one of the girls and then gets real thug about it.  He drops the harpoon like he’s dropping a mic and just walks away with all kinds of swag.  LOL

There’s boobs of course and some nice innovation.  (He cuts a guy in half long ways.)

Me and DJ give it a 72/100.  It’s recommended as most other Jason movies are.

About TaraRomero

I love 28 Days Later and insist that they are zombies. Infected zombies, but zombies. It's not like they're coming back, are they? No. I also have a strange obsession with Brainscan because I have a stranger obsession with Edward Furlong (mostly pre-drugged up Edward - bless his heart, I've met him and he's lovely and I'll love him till I die). Besides horror I'm addicted to writing about everything I see and think and feel. Also, I read a lot and watch too many game shows. Currently reading Poe and watching Idiotest.
