Tina, who is telekinetic, gets really mad at her abusive father one day and drowns him in Crystal Lake.  For years afterward she feels really guilty about it and sees a bunch of different doctors.  One doctor decides that the only way to get over her psychological issues is to go back to Crystal Lake.  In actuality though the doctor is a real creep and knows all about the Jason Voorhees legend and Tina’s telekinesis and just wants to use everyone else’s story for his own personal gain.

This is not the most popular Friday movie due to the crazy sauce story line.  However, me and DJ actually dig this one.  It’s not our favorite,  but we like Telekinetic Tina and her Bad Hair Day mother and her new boyfriend, Nick, who DJ lovingly calls Captain Denim (which you’ll understand when you see the movie).  It’s highly rewatchable, Jason is rather creeptastic and the kills are some of the most awesome in the whole series.  For example, the infamous sleeping-bag-smacked-against-a-tree death is in this one.

PS- There’s a good bit of gore in the “slashed scenes”, so make sure to watch them.

I give this one a 74/100 and DJ gave it a spectacular 80.

About TaraRomero

I love 28 Days Later and insist that they are zombies. Infected zombies, but zombies. It's not like they're coming back, are they? No. I also have a strange obsession with Brainscan because I have a stranger obsession with Edward Furlong (mostly pre-drugged up Edward - bless his heart, I've met him and he's lovely and I'll love him till I die). Besides horror I'm addicted to writing about everything I see and think and feel. Also, I read a lot and watch too many game shows. Currently reading Poe and watching Idiotest.
