Starring Katee Sackhoff and Rory Cochrane.
Plot: A woman with the sort of aide of her brother tries to prove that a mirror is to blame for the deaths of her mother and father.
We had a really hard time liking anyone in this movie except maybe the fiance but yea… and the writing sucked, as did the story. The characters were inconsistent, one minute they are scared to death of their mother and the next they are breaking into a room to see if she is ok, one minute the father is choking her and the next she is crying because the brother shot him. Unrealistic and unclear motive, why did the mirror have this power? No innovation, no rules and definitely no Freddy Claws (see our rating system for more info).
I looked at the clock 29 minutes in wondering how much longer i had watch this garbage. Though there were a couple creepy parts we were too mad at the movie to enjoy them and be scared. Great effects though, points for them.
The movie left us with plenty of questions too like, Why did the mirror affect the cell phones when it couldn’t affect the batteries of the lights and cameras. Why do the children call the doctor and bring the neighbor but never call the cops. The whole movie you don’t know what is happening or what is real or not and no, not in a remotely good way. To top everything off the ending is complete and utter shit! And even worse is we knew it was coming.
All in all a HUGE disappointment, Tara gave it a 14 and i gave it an 11.
