Killer Mermaid (aka Nymph aka Mamula) (2014)

Written by Marko Backovic, Barry Keating and Milan Konjevic.

Directed by Milan Todorovic.

Starring Kristina Klebe, Franco Nero and Natalie Burn.

Plot: Two girls on a Mediterranean vacation stop by an abandoned island with some friends and uncover a mystery that may kill them.

I was not that impressed with original mermaid lore however this movie was not as bad as we thought it was going to be. The end left much to be desired, it could have gone much better for the protagonist. It was mostly boring and very melodramatic, like at the end with someone talking about “the silence”.

Most of the movie isn’t even about the mermaid, it’s about an old man with a hook who kills people in a weird way. But it had boob shots so that was good lol.

The beginning looks like a foreign music video. The end has “no animals or mermaids were harmed during the making of this movie” …clever…NOT!

All in all we didn’t hate it but we really did not like it either , we both gave it a 30/100.

About DJVoorhees13

I don't believe in long winded reviews. I love Jason Voorhees. My favorite Friday is Friday 4: The Final Chapter (even though it isn’t), but I even like Friday 5: A New Beginning. I know the killer is not technically Jason, but you gotta love little Reckless and the blonde woman who keeps throwing him around. My guilty pleasures are Return of the Living Dead Parts 1 – 3. I know they’re not everyone’s favorites, but I can watch them over and over again with no reprieve. I also happen to think that Return of the Living Dead 3 characters Julie and Curt have one of the greatest love story ever told. When I’m not watching horror movies, I’m usually watching old TV shows or reading books/comics. Currently watching Star Trek: Voyager and reading anything by Dante Alighieri.

  1. I can’t picture mermaids being all that scary either.
